Midnight Tragedy on Florida’s Turnpike: Six Lives Lost in Fiery High-Speed Crash

Tragedy struck on Florida’s Turnpike during the late hours when a high-speed collision claimed the lives of six people. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred in the northbound lanes of Orange County near mile marker 252.

Investigators reported that a Chevrolet Traverse SUV was traveling at a dangerous speed with its headlights completely turned off. Witnesses noted that the vehicle approached a roadside assistance truck, known locally as a Road Ranger truck, which was moving across the highway while responding to an earlier incident.

The SUV violently rammed into the rear right side of the assistance truck. The impact sent both vehicles careening off the roadway and instantly engulfed them in massive flames. Tragically, the driver and five adult passengers inside the SUV became trapped by the wreckage and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the roadside assistance truck sustained minor injuries, remained at the location to assist authorities, and did not require hospital transport. Local authorities and the medical examiner are currently working to officially confirm the identities of the victims as the investigation into the exact circumstances of the crash continues.
