Students’ Movement Demands Separate Classrooms for Boys and Girls at Educational Institutions

Students’ Organisation Calls for Separate Classrooms for Boys and Girls
Students Jamiat Bangladesh has welcomed the government’s initiative to introduce separate women-only bus services for safer travel, while calling for separate classrooms for male and female students at educational institutions.
The demand was made by Saad Bin Zakir, central general secretary of Students Jamiat Bangladesh, during a meeting with the organisation’s central leaders and Rangamati district representatives in Rangamati on Tuesday (August 18).
Zakir said separate classrooms could create a more disciplined and comfortable environment in educational institutions and help students focus more on their studies.
He also called on the government to take effective measures to ensure a safe and suitable environment for students, similar to its initiative to provide separate bus services for women.
The meeting also discussed strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level, improving coordination among its leaders and expanding its organisational activities.
